For those looking for size, the Mazda CX-9 offers the largest model in the Mazda lineup. Packed for both 7-8 passengers as well as the latest technology you need, the vehicle is best known for maintaining its performance.
While both are classified as three-row midsize SUVs, the 2021 Mazda CX-9 builds upon its predecessor with even more technology and trim options. For a comparison on both models, Tuttle-Click Mazda provides a guide below:

While much of the features inside the 2020 Mazda CX-9 return, several upgrades have been added in the 2021 rendition. While the 2021 model has a slightly higher base price, it now offers a new standard 10.25-inch Display. Powered with the MAZDA CONNECT™ Infotainment system, the new size is larger than both screen options in the 2020 model. Plus, models have standard Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ capabilities. As a bonus, the 2021 option will also offer an additional Carbon Edition trim, which features unique exterior trim and grille face, 20-inch Alloy Wheels, and available Red Leather seating.
Despite several changes to the 2021 Mazda CX-9, both models will be powered by the same SKYACTIV®-G Turbocharged engine. To propel you and your passengers, the model offers up to 250 horsepower and 320 ft-lbs worth of torque. If you’re looking for additional capabilities, every trim level has access to the i-ACTIV® AWD with Off-Road Traction Assist. Meanwhile, front-wheel drive models will offer up to an estimated 25 MPG.
Both the 2021 and 2020 Mazda CX-9 provide families plenty of space or professionals with lots of cargo inside its interior. At the same time, drivers can experience the classic feel and handling of the Mazda brand at every trim level.
